Old Corkscrew Golf Club is Southwest Florida's only stand-alone Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, a 275-acre site located approximately seven miles east of I-75 on the south side of Corkscrew Road in Estero between Ft. Myers and Naples, Florida. The course was created in harmony with the natural terrain of the Florida environment and provides a challenging, enjoyable golf experience for players of all levels. The par-72 championship golf course is a free-standing recreational facility with no residential development on the site.
Old Corkscrew opened for play in February of 2007 and has quickly been recognized as one of the nation’s finest golf courses and included on a number of prestigious lists. Jack Nicklaus’ dedication and ingenuity has enhanced hundreds of spectacular courses worldwide but in Lee County, Southwest Florida, only Old Corkscrew Golf Club is highlighted by that spectacular designation – Jack Nicklaus ‘Signature Design’.
The 7,400 yard layout meets the highest design criteria. Since Old Corkscrew is not part of any real estate development, this course is a “core” or “stand-alone” extraordinary golf experience just minutes from Naples and Ft. Myers beaches. The course design has been developed to mesh precisely with the outstanding natural assets – mature oak, pine and cypress trees and a natural flow way through the center of the property... adding up to one spectacular golf course.
